Welcome to the 13th Annual Morrigan’s Call Retreat!
Do you hear her voice whispering to you on the wind?
Do you feel her presence in the shadows calling to you?
Can you feel her warrior spirit stir within you?
The Morrigan is calling to us once again, will you answer the Call?

This year, I had the honor of documenting The Morrigan’s Call – the event that each year all of us in New England are looking forward to! While my focus was more on video (still in the works), I did take photos in parallel. So hopefully, this post will serve as the highlights of what was happening.
The focus was on the concept of “The Heart and Soul of the Warrior” this year.
When we speak of warriorship we may be thinking about the soldier, police officer or
firefighter putting their lives in harm’s way to protect the larger community. However,
living through the Covid epidemic demonstrated there is more to warriorship than that
narrow focus.
Warriors come from all walks of life; their battles may be internal or external, but a uniform
or a physical weapon are not the only marks of a warrior.
Saturday’s ritual was called Gathering Her Army – Battle Skills. It focused on training ourselves in magic that can be used to call the Queen to aid us in battle. Combining forces and battle magic maneuvers together as her fianna, her warband.

The cabin structure that stood as the Temple to the Goddess was at the heart of this retreat. The Temple contained a carefully constructed and tended array of altars to many aspects of the Great Queen and to the ancestors. The priestesses of The Morrigan hosted the few oracular sessions each day for those who seek direct access to the energy of the Great Queen through personally channeled messages.

In the weekend’s final ritual, we had the celebration of the battle victory; acnowledged the abundant gifts of the Morrigan and the Dagda by sharing food, drink and song together.

Hail An Morrigan! Welcome All! May it be nine times eternal!!
